Under bed storage – If you are looking for several square meters for storage, the space under the bed is obvious. During most beds you will be able to have large drawers that can accommodate a lot. The most optimal way to take advantage of the space is to build a frame for the bed that you adapt to drawers you buy on wheels so that they are easy to pull out.
The bed frame is made of 21 mm plywood, which is strong and can easily withstand the weight of both mattress and people. Here we have used birch veneer because it is strongest and has a more uniform and nice surface. It is the most expensive type of veneer. But you can easily choose to build a cheaper type such as the East veneer if you can live with a barely so nice surface.
The parts of the bed frame can almost be sawn out of two whole sheets of 122 x 244 cm. There are many long cuts that saw, and it is easiest to do with a diving saw with guide rail. If you do not have one, you can saw after a long straight board eg with a jigsaw. You can also have them cut to measure in the wooden load. It is a good idea to write letters on the parts when you cut out so you can better keep track of the pieces.
